Dark and terrible was he But the Great Enemy’s power did not last, He gave these rings to the races of Middle Earth. For these he created a master ring, And so it was that elves and men traveled to Mordor But his soul remained, In time he returned to his dark tower, The ring left still unfound. And when at last a great army came to the Black Gate, And in that moment, the Great Eye saw all, Barad-dur went crashing into the land.
